Job Description
Glaziers measure, select, cut, install, remove and replace all types of glass as well as plastics, marble, granite, and similar materials used as glass substitutes. They may mount steel or aluminum sashes or frames and attach locks and hinges to glass doors. Future career path opportunities include jobs as estimators, inspectors, project managers, trade instructors, and foreman.
Instruction
Glazing is a block class with schooling held at Moraine Park Technical CollegeFond du Lac. To allow apprentices from the entire state to attend, classes are usually held for a full week in January, February, and March.
