Job Description
Insulators cement, staple, wire, tape, or spray insulating materials to reduce energy consumption by keeping heat in during the winter and heat out during the summer. Insulation is also used for sound deadening purposes. They may work on refrigerated store rooms, buildings, vats, tanks, vessels, boilers, and pipes or air ducts. Insulators use common hand tools such as trowels, brushes, knives, scissors, saws, pliers, and stapling guns.

Instruction
Heat & Frost Insulation is taught as in-house training by the sponsoring employer. The training is certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.
