Sponsoring Employer Qualifications

Sponsoring employers and their apprentices are monitored by an Area Apprenticeship Advisory Committee that is responsible for administering the program under the supervision of the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards.

Employers who want to train apprentices in the ABC Wisconsin program must be reviewed by their ABC Wisconsin Area Committee to determine their eligibility and ability to properly train and supervise apprentices. An employer must agree to train apprentices according to the ABC Wisconsin Apprenticeship Standards.

Employers do not have to be ABC members to train apprentices in the program. Apprentices working for ABC member companies receive a reduced tuition rate.
