Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin is the association of choice among merit shop contractors. The nearly 900 ABC of Wisconsin member firms perform over $4 billion in construction services each year and employ 35,000 people. Nationally, there are more than 23,000 members in more than 80 Chapters.
ABC helps members grow, whether they are large international subcontractors or small general contractors. ABC works hard to ensure merit contractors can compete freely in the marketplace. The association provides a common bond for all types of contractors who work to promote open competition and a construction industry where contracts are not awarded simply because of labor affiliation. Dues for contractors are based upon annual business volume. Dues for associate and supplier members are based on the number of employees.
Contractor Members – Members are active in the construction field: prime and subcontractors in all types of construction.
Supplier Members – Members supply materials to contractors, shops or jobsites, including on-site labor.
Associate Members – Members provide services to the construction industry but no materials or labor (i.e. architects, attorneys, insurance companies, etc).
