Free Tools & Resources
INTERNET SERVICE
Charter
Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days (from March 16, 2020) to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. Find more information here.
Comcast
Comcast has increased speeds from 15 Mbps to 25 in “Internet Essentials,” a program for low-income families to get internet access. The company has also eliminated the $9.95 price per month and made it free to new low-income customers for two months. Additional information found here.

Adobe Connect
Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe is offering free access to Creative Cloud tools through May 31, 2020 for home use by students attending schools that currently only have computer lab access through May at this website.
Microsoft Suite
Students and instructors can sign themselves up here if their program doesn’t already offer them access.
Microsoft is reminding schools that it offers a free set of productivity applications — including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote — for education, for those schools that haven’t adopted a software suite yet. Office 365 A1 also comes with services, including OneDrive (for storage and file transfer), Teams (for web communications), Forms (for quizzes) and other utilities useful for collaboration.
Zoom
It has always been free, but amidst COVID-19 they are trying to maximize capacity and reliability with providing free licenses with access to advanced capabilities. Sign up here.
They’re offering free information sessions to help people get acquainted with Zoom.

Online Testing Available
Several technical colleges are offering online testing options during the COVID-19 pandemic. All test-takers should request a copy of their scores from the testing center to include with their ABC apprenticeship application.
