Event Details

Isometric drawings have become the industry standard for visualizing how a three-dimensional object will look after it is constructed. One-dimensional sketches of the top, front, and side views of the object are combined in a specific way to form an isometric view. Since this type of drawing can be sketched quickly, isometric drawings make for easy explanations over the phone from the office to the field or vice versa.

Who should attend:  ABC of Wisconsin Plumbing apprentices.

What you will learn:

  • The advantages and disadvantages of isometric drawings.
  • Compare isometric drawings drawn at 30° from the horizontal with drones done at 45 and 60° from the horizontal.
  • Identify steps used to create the three basic views of an object isometrically.
  • Discuss the value of a reference point and a compass on an isometric drawing.
  • Practice sketching isometric drawings.
