  • As risk professionals, we see our share of various types of risks the construction industry and by far we have seen an increased need to support our clients in regards to mental health awareness.
  • Every day there are approximately three fatal accidents on construction jobsites, but behind the scenes, there are an additional fifteen suicides among construction workers.
  • Our speaker will discuss their personal and professional experiences with mental health, and why specifically suicide, hits harder in this industry than others.

    Angela Zausch, CCSW

    As the Health & Wellbeing Consultant with Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA), Angela is responsible for providing clients with expert wellness solutions including wellness programming through strategic planning, establishing wellness committees, and implementing culture audits and data analysis. Angela is part of a team of specialists dedicated to helping client’s lower healthcare costs and increases productivity by improving employees’ health.

    Angela has worked in the health and wellness industry since 2007. Previously, Angela served as a Consumer Experience Consultant at Humana, launching a carrier program to the state of Wisconsin and developing strategies through those offerings, which would drive the necessary results through premiums and renewals. Before Humana, Angela also worked at GE Healthcare as an Employee & Wellness Manager where she managed a global program to assist different locations in developing autonomous, relevant programs to their local populations.

    With these combined experiences, Angela’s passion resides in being able to “collaborate on [her] experience in the different avenues of worksite wellness, from product to the employer, and carrier, and bring such insights to clients in assisting them to create industry-leading wellbeing initiatives for the people they serve.”

    Angela prides herself on a deep passion for developing robust, efficient, and capable employee wellness committees. “My daily responsibilities often flex to meet the needs of any client,” Angela said. By taking the time to carve out dedicated focus on specific projects to create better results, Angela knows she can and will continue to empower clients to create meaningful offerings to their employee that will also satisfy the business needs at the end of the day.
