wed01apr10:00 amwed11:00 amWebinar: FFCRA and CARES Acts

Event Details

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) makes substantial changes to sick and FMLA leave for businesses and employees in 2020 and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”), provides further relief to individual and business taxpayers in the wake of the continuing COVID-19 outbreak. What does this mean for you and your employees?

Join us for a one-hour webinar that will cover two very important topics for the construction industry. The first is the mandatory paid sick leave and expanded FMLA paid leave that employers must provide to certain employees who miss work as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The second topic will be a discussion of the business and individual tax provisions contained in the CARES Act, many of which are retroactive to 2018 and 2019 and may therefore allow contractors to file amended tax returns to get refunds of taxes they paid in those years.

Our presenters are Crystal Christenson, CPA, MST, a construction and real estate tax expert and Erika Young, accredited investment fiduciary with ABC member Wipfli, LLP. This free webinar is for ABC of Wisconsin members only.
