Kraemer Brothers built the 10-story, 164-room AC Hotel by Marriott at one of the busiest corners in downtown Madison. The building has concrete foundations with precast concrete and structural concrete, steel beams and columns and steel stud bearing walls with compositie floor decks. The exterior facade includes stone and brick masonry, metal wall panels, curtain wall and aluminum window system. The interior includes three elevators, a bar, restaurant and underground parking. Unique challenges on this project included a tight site that required the hotel be built up around a tower crane and a just-in-time delivery system.
