Kraemer Brothers was selected by Chartwell to convert the former Globe University building in Middleton to a new company headquarters. The addition allowed Chartwell to improve overall workflow and add new cleanroom facilities. The cleanroom facilities meet current standards for sterile compounding by pharmacies and provides needed space for future growth. Moisture levels in the pharmacy had to be monitored during construction, while booty and gown attire had to be worn at all times in the clean rooms. The facility now has state-of-the-art equipment to monitor airflow, temperature and humidity and has cameras in each cleanroom. Kraemer Brothers also added loading docks and a shipping and receiving area that was not part of the original building, as well as a stone patio area in the back. Quality control was of the utmost importance. Value engineering was used throughout the project.
