This 23,000 square foot addition involved integrating a new pre-engineered metal addition with “double-T” concrete walls of the existing 39,000 square foot building; a link to support the snow load between the new and existing buildings with varying roof heights. Other aspects included a two-story office space , conference room, break room, server room, mechanical room, elevator, second story catwalk between the new and existing office areas; an ADA lift; two loading docks; and a drive through crane bay. A major challenge was keeping the facility fully functioning and safe throughout construction; removing pre-cast panels; shoring up adjacent panels and building temporary walls in their place.
