WDS Construction’s first hotel project was prompted by its sister development company fulfilling a need for quality lodging in Beaver Dam. Having never constructed a hotel prior to this project, WDS was ready to show they are tough contenders in this category. The project drawings were based off of a CD set from IHG Hotels and there were multiple drawing revisions required. Coordination with the owner matrix and suppliers of furniture, fixtures and equipment was intens. The winter weather did not cooperate either. With all the obstacles faced, WDS still received occupancy more than one month prior to expected date. Safety was maintained throughout the project and there were zero accidents.
