Only a few years after opening a new addition to its production facility, Kerry Ingredients decided to add a new automated production line. This entailed new dry product bulk storage containers, renovations to food grade blending rooms, additional electrical and control rooms, twin conveyors that spanned hundreds of feet, product elevators, two robotic palletizers, and an entirely new dock area for shipping. All of this was completed in a five-month window and in the midst of an active production operation. Steiner Electric supplied more than 20 electricians at times and self-performed over 92% of the contract value to complete the 6,000 man hour project on time and under budget; all without a lost time accident.
