Concrete pours for this project were massive, so KB utilized the world’s largest truck-mounted concrete pump. The construction team was able to complete each floor in approximately 12 days from the setting of the first bearing wall to the last pour.

The Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel is a mixed-use, 12-story development with 182 guest rooms, four levels of parking and an office floor. The stunning exterior includes brick, metal wall panels, glass/aluminum curtain wall, aluminum window system and EIFS. The interior features high-quality modern finishes and upscale amenities. The close proximity to other buildings and steep grade posed many site challenges. Staging for equipment and materials required careful planning. Kraemer Brothers used the world’s largest truck-mounted concrete pumps for massive concrete pours of 570 to 680 cubic yards for each floor, some 36 inches thick, and utilized innovative wireless technology for real-time data on concrete maturity and temperature.
