Holtz Builders completed a 21,000-square-foot, multi-level renovation of the lobby at The Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort, which included constructing a new state-of-the-art kitchen, bar, indoor and outdoor dining, a “candy cabin,” retail space, new exterior façade and a Las Vegas-style porte cochère. Site work included creating a whole new front entrance, structural work for new trusses, glue-laminated post and beams and all unique finishes, some being imported from Italy. The new lobby was in the location of the original indoor waterpark and needed to be constructed from the inside out. Special attention was needed for safety of guests at the resort, aat least until the pandemic essentially closed it down. The project was completed by its opening day deadline, with the general manager greeting the first guest and personally walking them into the newly remodeled lobby.
