ABC Wisconsin Member Earns National Safety Award

Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) announced that Wondra Construction, Inc., of Iron Ridge, WI received top honors Feb. 11 during the 24th annual Excellence in Construction Awards celebration at the Grand Wailea in Maui, Hawaii.

“It’s an honor to be able to recognize this amazing company for their impressive achievements in making safety a core value,” said 2014 ABC National Chairman Dan Brodbeck, president and CEO of Compass Partners, LLC. “They truly represent the best the merit shop has to offer.”

The 2013 National Safety Award winners were selected from ABC member firms that achieved Diamond, Platinum and Gold status in ABC’s Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) and were judged on self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable rates, leading indicator use, process and program innovations and video interviews conducted by members of ABC’s National Environment, Health & Safety Committee.

Wondra Construction has been a member of ABC of Wisconsin since 1998 and has won numerous awards and honors through ABC of Wisconsin. Wondra is also a past winner of ABC of Wisconsin and ABC National’s construction awards.
