Did someone mentor or guide you in your career in construction? Acuity Insurance wants to know. Acuity Insurance is holding an essay contest on the topic to promote construction. The inaugural Construction Appreciation Essay Contest will be held from April 17 to July 7. The contest, which focuses on mentors shaping individual careers, will help celebrate Construction Appreciation Week starting September 15.
“Our inaugural Construction Appreciation Essay Contest gives you the opportunity to tell us how a mentor shaped your career in the industry,” according to the Acuity Insurance contest flyer.
More than $3,000 in prizes will be awarded.
Acuity understands how important mentorship is in the construction industry and that much of the hard-earned wisdom comes from passing it down from the experienced to those learning about construction. This type of relationship becomes that much more valuable given the current shortage of skilled workers.
Entries must be submitted electronically by July 7, 2019. Winners will be notified on or before July 31, 2019.
