Trenching & Excavation Competent Person Training (West Bend)

Training is scheduled for May 1, 2026 in the West Bend area.

This program helps contractors train the competent person and workers. Although the responsibility for designating a competent person is the sole responsibility of the contractor, this program is designed to simplify the task by providing participants with the information and training needed to become a competent person.

The program covers:

• The scope and application of Subpart P – Excavation Standard
• Definitions
• General Requirements
• Requirements for protective systems
• Soil classifications
• Handling an OSHA inspection

Attendees will receive training materials relating to the Excavation Standard. Attendees successfully completing this course will receive a wallet-sized certification card.

Location will be secured once the minimum attendance numbers are reached. Confirmations will be sent out at that time.  Class can be cancelled up to 2 weeks prior due to low registration numbers.
