Knobelsdorff partnered with ALCIVIA, a leading agricultural cooperative, to support the construction of a new grain receiving and storage facility in Hager City, Wisconsin. Designed to improve harvest efficiency and expand grain-handling capacity, the project was delivered through a fully integrated, cross-divisional approach involving electric, automation, and power services teams. KE provided complete electrical infrastructure installation, automation integration, and full commissioning of all systems. The facility features high-capacity grain dryers, material handling equipment, and a centralized control system that allows for seamless operation and monitoring. Early in the project, the team led targeted value engineering efforts, including a redesign of the electrical layout that reduced conduit runs and simplified system maintenance. Site access and construction progress were challenged by early spring weather conditions, but Knobelsdorff maintained schedule adherence through smart resequencing, offsite prefabrication, and collaboration with the civil contractor to stabilize delivery routes. Safety was prioritized through the use of KE’s in-house Power Portal, which enabled digital JSA submissions and real-time incident tracking via the iTrack system. The project was completed within budget, on time, and stands as a strong example of Knobelsdorff’s ability to deliver turnkey agricultural infrastructure with precision, speed, and accountability.
