Wisconsin Dells Mountain Coaster

The Wisconsin Dells Mountain Coaster stands as both an engineering and construction achievement, completed by Holtz Builders, Inc. in just six months on a fast-track schedule despite extreme winter weather and challenging hillside site conditions. More than 150 skilled workers, supported by two dozen subcontractors and vendors, collaborated seamlessly with the owner and design partners to bring the state’s first Alpine Mountain Coaster to life. Built across an 11-acre site with 2 acres of excavation and hillside improvements, the project demanded precision and resilience from start to finish. Procore software, GPS-guided grading, and satellite surveying ensured accurate layout and communication, while careful planning minimized frost delays and spring road restrictions. The coaster was delivered on time for the Memorial Day tourist season with zero recordable safety incidents, a testament to HBI’s rigorous safety culture. From winter excavation and slope stabilization to traffic management during roadway improvements, crews adhered to strict safety protocols without sacrificing schedule or quality. By creating a year-round attraction in a destination known for seasonal tourism, the coaster enhances economic sustainability while showcasing construction excellence. Through this project, Holtz Builders demonstrated how innovation, collaboration, and resilience can overcome significant obstacles and deliver an exceptional result.
