She’s the first person a potential apprentice encounters during their application process, and serves as a guide through their program’s completion. Erin Braden has processed more than 6,000 apprenticeship applications since joining ABC in late 2020, and brings an exceptional level of organization to the process. The Daily Reporter recognized Braden’s achievements at their 2026 Women in Construction Awards Banquet on August 20th.

Braden was named Administrator of the Year, and accepted her award at the banquet, held at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee.

“Erin is passionate about helping apprenticeship applicants develop the professional skills needed to be successful, said Brandi Davis, Director of Apprenticeship.  “She has streamlined our processes, and made the whole experience more efficient. We are so proud of her accomplishments, and grateful to have her as a key part of our team.”

Braden serves as an administrator, but also assists applicants with their professional development. She coaches them on professional communication, email etiquette, interview preparation, and appropriate dress for interviews with employer trainers. She wants them to feel confident and prepared by guiding them through interview talking points and sharing advice on how to present themselves professionally and successfully.

Once they are contracted, Braden tracks attendance, grades, and additional details for the more than 2,600 apprentices currently in ABC’s Apprenticeship Program.

Braden also comes alongside employers to help them successfully sponsor apprentices. Construction apprenticeship programs involve many regulations and compliance requirements, and she helps employers successfully navigate those processes. Her expertise and guidance ensure ABC members meet state standards, ultimately saving them valuable time and resources. Braden consistently provides prompt, knowledgeable service and support to ABC’s employer trainers and members.

She is a skilled event coordinator, and ensures that both ABC’s Skill Competition and Graduation Banquets are handled with professionalism and ease.

Braden lives in Portage with her husband Randy and son Brandon.
