Apprenticeship

Upcoming Events

With an apprenticeship, you start with a job and build a career. Simply put, a contractor hires you, and then you enroll in the ABC of Wisconsin Apprenticeship Program. Over the next three to five years, you will learn everything you need – through in-class and on-the-job training – to strive in all aspects of your chosen trade. The best part: you get paid! ABC of Wisconsin continuously looks for new companies to work with in the apprenticeship program, because applicants cannot get into the program without a company to sponsor them. Companies are not required to be members of ABC of Wisconsin to train through our apprenticeship program, but do need to go through the process to be approved as a trainer. However, when the company is a member of ABC of Wisconsin they receive a wide range of benefits, including waiver of the Employer Application Fee and a tuition discount for the apprenticeship program.
The ABC of Wisconsin Apprenticeship Program is committed to helping people throughout their time as an apprentice. Each apprentice is assigned an Education Coordinator that they are welcome to contact with any questions or concerns throughout the program. Visit the “Current Apprentices” page to enter work reports, pay tuition, see current skilled wage maps and find other helpful links.
