Apprentice of the Year

• Must be finishing their final year of paid related instruction.
• Must be an active ABC of Wisconsin Apprentice in good standing (i.e. minimal or no problems with late work reports, absences, poor grades, etc.) and is working for an approved trainer.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism as an apprentice throughout the apprenticeship program.
• Must be highly regarded by other apprentices, instructor(s) and their employer.
• Must be recommended by an approved trainer, fellow apprentice, or instructor.
• In general, the ABC of Wisconsin Apprentice of the Year goes far beyond other apprentices in all aspects of on-the-job training, paid and unpaid related instruction.

Finalists for the Apprentice of the year will be brought before the Critiquing Panel in April for an interview. The ABC of Wisconsin Critiquing Panel, composed of ABC members and a Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards representative, selects the Apprentice of the Year based on the interview with the apprentice and on the recommendations from their employer, fellow apprentices, and/or instructor(s).
