2024 Craft Professional of the Year

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin Craft Professional of the Year award is presented to the journey person or master craft professional who exhibits the highest level of commitment to apprenticeship training.

The Craft Professional of the Year will be announced at the 2024 ABC of Wisconsin Graduation Banquet on May 16, 2024. All nominees will be invited to the banquet.

Selection Criteria
  • Must have trained ABC of Wisconsin apprentice for at least five (5) years and be currently involved in a trade.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in training apprentices on the job.
  • Must be employed with an ABC of Wisconsin approved apprenticeship trainer.
  • Must be highly regarded by apprentices and employers.
  • Must be recommended by an apprentice, fellow employee, and/or employer.
  • In general, the ABC of Wisconsin Craft Professional of the Year goes far beyond other trainers in all aspects of on-the-job training.

The ABC of Wisconsin Critiquing Panel, composed of ABC members and a Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards representative, selects the Craft Professional of the Year. The award winner will be chosen based on the nomination answers, recommendation letters, and a questionnaire that the nominee fills out.
