Wisconsin Dells, Jan. 15, 2026 — Innovative, beautiful and challenging projects were celebrated at ABC’s Projects of Distinction Banquet, held Thursday evening in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

The banquet honored 55 different projects built by ABC Members in 2025. The award-winning projects were reviewed by a panel of 25 judges, with expertise in architecture, engineering and construction education. Judges base their scores on the safety record of each project first, then evaluate the other features of each project, including craftsmanship, execution and coordination, scheduling, overcoming difficult or unusual challenges, owner satisfaction, and overall distinctiveness.
“It is stunning to see the incredible work ABC members are doing to build offices, roads, housing, retail space and so much more,” said Kelly Tourdot, president of Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin. “Merit shops compete to win, and tonight’s projects demonstrate the exceptional care our members take to build projects that are beautiful, sustainable and with perfect safety scores.”

At the end of the evening, the highest ranking project was awarded “Project of the Year.” This year’s top project was built by Weiser Brothers General Contractor, Inc., a family-owned full service contractor based in LaCrescent, Minnesota. Their project, The Wanek Center of Innovation at Western Technical College is a 34,000 square foot facility built in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The expansive center includes high-tech labs, robotics spaces and collaborative classrooms, and is intended to strengthen Wisconsin’s manufacturing training opportunities.
