ABC launches 2020 Projects of Distinction

MADISON, July 1, 2020—Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin launched the 2020 Projects of Distinction Excellence In Construction Awards Program today. Now in its 27th year, the Projects of Distinction Program provides members with an opportunity to showcase their challenging and exceptionally executed construction projects around the state and nation.

The projects in the 2020 program will have been completed between Oct. 1, 2019 and Sept. 30, 2020. The projects will be judged by an independent panel of judges in the areas of safety, quality, owner satisfaction, execution and coordination, budgeting, difficult and unusual challenges and overall distinctiveness. The awards will be presented in February 2021.

General Contractors —

  • Commercial – Under $2 Million; $2 Million to $10 Million; Over $10 Million
  • Healthcare – Under $5 Million; Over $5 Million
  • Industrial – Under $3 Million; Over $3 Million
  • Infrastructure – Heavy
  • Institutional – Under $5 Million; Over $5 Million
  • Pre-Engineered Building – Metal Building Under $1 Million; Metal Building $1 Million to $2.5 Million; Metal Building Over $2.5 Million
  • Public Works/Environmental
  • Renovation (Restoration & Renovation, including historical)
  • Residential – Single Unit; Multi-Unit
  • Other Construction
    • Green Building
    • Community/Public Service
    • Miscellaneous/Special Projects

Speciality Contractors —

  • Electrical: Commercial –  Under $250,000; $250,000 to $1 Million; Over $1 Million
