ABC Recognizes Long-Time Apprenticeship Committee Member and Instructor

LA CROSSE — Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin recognized a long-time apprenticeship instructor and apprenticeship advisory committee member in La Crosse last night. Eric Artschwager of Poellinger Electric, Inc. is a retiring committee member after 22 years of service.

“I have really enjoyed my time on the committee,” said Artschwager. “It has been a very rewarding experience work with the other committee members and to watch apprentices learn and progress over the years,” Artschwager said.

Artschwager is an Estimator and Project Manager with the La Crosse contractor. Poellinger Electric is an active and involved ABC electrical trainer. He is also a founding member of the La Crosse-area ABC committee and has served as the committee chairperson for many years. In addition to his duties on the committee and at Poellinger Electric, Eric has served as a regular night school instructor at Western Technical College.

“Eric has an excellent reputation among apprentices and colleagues alike as a knowledgeable instructor and dedicated mentor,” said Michael McDonald, ABC of Wisconsin Education Coordinator. “He was a significant presence on the advisory committee and will be greatly missed.”
