Projects of Distinction

The Projects of Distinction Awards celebrate the incredible skill, innovation, and commitment of ABC of Wisconsin members. These awards showcase projects that exemplify the very best of the merit shop philosophy—where excellence is achieved through hard work, training, safety, and innovation.

Each project is judged on its own merits, with careful consideration of safety, craftsmanship, execution, coordination, scheduling, unique challenges, owner satisfaction, and overall distinctiveness. A panel of experts in construction, architecture, engineering, and education ensures a fair and consistent evaluation process.

Awards are presented at both the Gold and Silver levels, based on a point system rather than direct competition, meaning multiple projects may be recognized in each category. At the conclusion of the program, one outstanding project is selected as the Project of the Year.

In addition, the Built on Merit Award recognizes the project that engaged the greatest number of ABC member contractors and suppliers. This award underscores the importance of collaboration within the ABC community and highlights the shared commitment to training, safety, and excellence.

More than a celebration, the Projects of Distinction serve as a powerful business development tool for contractors—demonstrating to clients and the community that ABC members deliver projects of exceptional quality and professionalism.
