About the Project

The high-tech, 43,000 sq. ft. ABC Supply Learning Center in Beloit, Wisconsin, showcases the power of collaboration between owner ABC Supply Co., Inc., construction partner Corporate Contractors, Inc. (CCI), and architectural firm EUA. Initially planned as a remodel of a smaller industrial building, the project evolved into a state-of-the-art facility designed to support associate training and professional development. The impressive building includes a below-grade basement for utilities, a flexible 4,000 sq. ft. training space, spacious atrium, 130-seat auditorium, cafeteria, podcast studios, and advanced acoustic design. Its architectural character is defined by a steel structural system, curtain wall with Solarban glazing, and high-end finishes, such as terrazzo floors and exposed steel walkways, seamlessly blending durability with sophistication. Challenges included contaminated soil, excavating unforeseen remnants of a former power plant, HVAC installation without basement access, and proximity to a main road. CCI adapted construction sequencing, implemented rigorous safety protocols, and delivered the project under budget. Strong collaboration and CCI’s proactive leadership, problem-solving, and commitment to teamwork defined the building process. Value engineering solutions, such as substituting fixed glass for moveable walls, saved costs while enhancing function. Today, the Learning Center serves as a dynamic hub for professional growth while reinforcing ABC Supply’s values and mission.
