The Drier Family Dental project by Keller, Inc. includes a 7,200-square-foot, state-of-the-art clinic next to the previous location in Janesville. The owners wanted something more than ordinary and not just another clinic. The facility has 14 treatment bays with open feel, while still maintaining patient privacy and an abundance of windows. It includes a stone-clad fireplace, floating shelves and a courtesy bar that feels more like a cafe hang-out than a typical “waiting” room. The main patient seating area takes the form of a taller cube-shaped volume, with the entrance framed in a black ACM panel-clad canopy roof, which wraps down in a “waterfall” effect. The exterior has LP Smart-siding and Longboard wood-look aluminum siding. The site design had to account for two underground high-pressure gas lines with limited ground cover that required a creative solution for both the driveway and storm water piping.
