The Glen Erin Golf Club is an Irish themed public golf course located in south central Wisconsin and has built a reputation as one of the premier golf destinations in the state. Gilbank Construction was approached to build the 12,000 square foot proposed picturesque banquet facility on a hill during winter with record cold temperatures, snow and ice. Gilbank Construction was on an aggressive schedule with looming summer wedding event deadlines. Before construction could begin, more than 17,000 tons of structural fill was imported. Another major challenge was constructibility, with 40-foot tall, five-piece trusses that had to be installed and site constraints that limited staging areas and crane access.
