KI Mobility Phase III Expansion

KI Mobility, by Etac, is a global manufacturer of innovative precision light weight wheelchairs serving various markets and experiencing continued consistent global growth. They called upon Ellis for the third time, continuing an over 10-year relationship for their expansion needs. The Phase III expansion consisted of an 83,000-square-foot conventionally framed steel building, which significantly added to their receiving and warehousing needs. The design and layout of this addition needed to maximize the footprint in order to not disrupt their current shipping docks and take advantage of the best use of the acreage on site. Additionally, proactive design as well as collaborative civil planning needed to be thoroughly undertaken, in order to allow for expansion opportunities for the future when necessary.
