Dakota Supply Group (DSG), a trusted Midwest supplier since 1898, partnered with High Tech Investments and A.C.E. Building Service to create a new, state-of-the-art distribution facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The 40,000 sq. ft. project replaced an outdated downtown site, providing improved visibility, accessibility, and operational efficiency for DSG’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and contractor customers. The facility features a Butler Landmark pre-engineered steel structure with wide bay spacing and innovative truss purlins that maximize pallet rack layout, enhance daylighting, and support efficient mechanical integration. In addition to warehouse and office space, the site includes a fully screened bulk storage yard, strategically oriented southern-exposure docks for winter operations, and customer-facing product demonstration areas. Built under a collaborative design–bid–build process, construction began in December 2023, with sitework timed to avoid seasonal cost premiums. The exterior of the building was completed before the final interior design, allowing DSG to transition operations smoothly without service disruption. With more than 14,500 labor-hours logged and zero recordable safety incidents, the project stands as a model of outstanding teamwork, hard work, and innovation. The result is a high-performance distribution hub that strengthens DSG’s ability to serve America’s heartland today and well into the future.
