A new, 6,800 square foot restaurant and bar were built in the heart of Lake Geneva to replace an out-moded facility and increase dining capacity. Oakfire quickly outgrew its former building because of its popularity. The owner wanted to maximize the site, capitalize on location with indoor/outdoor seating, update the facility and add a bar for summer nightlife. Keller designed and built a conventional steel building with a corrugated metal and lap-sided exterior, featuring an expansive glass curtain-wall and a cantilevered outdoor dining terrace with views of the lake. Keller met an aggressive schedule of four and a half months from razing of the old building to completion.
