Press Expansion – HTT Inc.

Since 1985, HTT Inc. has been a provider of precision metal stamping services for industries including automotive and construction. In 2023, the company embarked on a major expansion of its Sheboygan facility to consolidate operations, expand production capacity, and improve efficiency. The project was more than a standard expansion. A city street and seven utilities, including high-voltage transmission lines, sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, fiber optic, and gas, had to be vacated or rerouted before construction could begin. Using a collaborative design-build approach, A.C.E. Building Service worked with HTT and utility providers to navigate challenges through project sequencing, phased foundation work, and creative utility relocation. The 32,075 sq. ft., 37-foot-tall expansion was designed with the future in mind and room to expand. It included durable, efficient construction materials and methods, and incorporated a unique crossing system for employees to enter the facility safely. A decorative metal band unifies the new structure with the existing facility to blend the expansion seamlessly. Despite extraordinary demands and challenges, occupancy was granted on time in December 2024. The project’s success is credited to the collaborative partnership of HTT, A.C.E. Building Service, trade partners, and the City of Sheboygan.
