This four-year, multi-phase, 30,000-square-foot project included an addition, ambulance garage and full renovation of the emergency and outpatient surgery departments, while allowing for patient access. Dust, noise and infection control was the highest priority for employee and patient comfort. Ellis Construction was met with many challenges, including limited space for construction and varying ages of the buildings from the 1920s, 1960s and 1980s. Several elements of the Emergency Department were moved to temporary locations during the project to maintain operations.
