Derrick Companies completed the construction of an 8,250 sq. ft. pre-engineered steel auto repair facility with a 1,430 sq. ft. mezzanine for storage. The structure utilized Butler Texture Wall insulated metal panels and an MR24 Butler single slope roof, ensuring durability and energy efficiency. As the first project in a new larger development, the build required extensive sitework, including the installation of utility extensions, development of a regional stormwater pond, and construction of a new city street. The facility was designed with both customers and employees in mind. The reception area features a modern, welcoming environment with ample seating, a coffee bar, restrooms, and even a childcare room to accommodate customers. For staff, the project included offices, a breakroom, and restrooms to support daily operations. The project began in October of 2024, and reached substantial completion on March 7, 2025, with a total contract value of $2,335,723. Derrick Companies self-performed 15% of the work, focusing on supervision, door and frame installation, and hardware and accessories. Subcontracted work was carried out by ABC members Hager City Glass and Steiner Plumbing & Electric, Inc. Merit shop and non-merit subcontractors from St. Croix County, Western Wisconsin, and Twin Cities Metro area also contributed along with many others.
