An incredible renovation of the Village Supper Club on the shores of Lake Delavan in southern Wisconsin transformed the 1880s site into a modern masterpiece, seamlessly combining intricate design and craftsmanship with a nod to its historic past. Corporate Contractors Inc. (CCI), in collaboration with new owners Allan and Loretta Kaplan, and DMAC Architecture & Interiors, preserved its legacy while reimagining it as a contemporary Wisconsin supper club. A key challenge involved re-engineering the original foundation walls, with 10 different elevation levels, while preserving the building’s footprint. Prioritizing safety throughout the project, CCI self-performed nearly half of the trades work, keeping the timeline on track despite delays. The custom finishes, some sourced from Europe, demanded meticulous craftsmanship, and the team’s collaboration and dedication to precision ensured flawless execution. The unique design elements, including 200+ light fixtures, concealed HVAC systems, amphitheater-like dining room, and the signature A-frame ceiling, required exceptional coordination and meticulous installation. The ceiling itself involved multiple layers of framing, soundproofing, and finishing, with every detail executed to perfection. Through teamwork and attention to detail, CCI and the build-team successfully completed a remarkable renovation that honors the supper club’s history while establishing a new benchmark for modern supper club experiences.
