Knowing that the Grotto Gardens receive approximately 15,000 visitors annually, the owner, designer and donor family collaborated alongside Altmann Construction to build this spacious, beautiful and modern facility, which greets visitors as they enter and exit the gardens. The welcome center is built on the site of a former beloved Catholic school, and one of the original entrances to the school was preserved and incorporated into the design of the new building. Altmann took exceptional care to keep the jobsite safe while preserving the surrounding Catholic Education Center, church and Grotto Gardens, which remained open to the public seven days a week.
