Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center (HVAC)

The Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center in Janesville, Wisconsin, represents a significant expansion in Woodman’s Markets’ evolving portfolio. As a $2 billion enterprise rooted in a 1919 produce stand, Woodman’s now enters the domain of community and recreational spaces. The center aims to transform local engagement by offering a state-of-the-art indoor facility capable of hosting a variety of large-scale events focused on athletics, entertainment, business, and recreation. NAMI, the project’s mechanical contractor, played a pivotal role in the center’s development. Key features of the facility include a main arena with a 1,500-spectator capacity and year-round ice, as well as a multi-purpose arena with adaptable options for ice, hardcourt flooring, or indoor turf. Additional amenities, such as 25,800 square feet of multi-use conference space facilitate trade shows, conventions, and sports activities. Beginning preconstruction in February 2024, NAMI prioritized equipment lead times, releasing a long lead equipment package to adhere to the critical schedule. With collaboration across various trades, the project overcame scheduling challenges, ensuring timely completion of each phase. The center strives to significantly boost economic impact and improve community well-being in Janesville and beyond.
