The construction industry offers numerous opportunities for career growth and economic advancement and yet, it often struggles to attract and retain a strong and diverse workforce.
Embracing diversity and inclusion is fundamental for companies to thrive and prosper in today’s world. However, many companies get overwhelmed when developing a strategy to build a more inclusive culture. Efforts related to diversity and inclusion can become emotionally charged which inhibits progress or they can become so diluted they do not promote any growth or evolution.
One place to begin is to build a psychologically safe environment where all workers feel they can show up authentically. Psychological safety is the foundation to creating a culture of trust, inclusion and increased engagement. Increased engagement results in real business outcomes that increase overall success and attract and retain a strong workforce.
This interactive session will focus on:
- The business case for psychological safety and the key role it plays in creating a culture that activates real results.
- Exploring the impact psychological safety has on business outcomes including retention, safety and profitability.
- Discussing key practices you can implement to build and maintain a psychologically safe environment that can attract a high-performing workforce.
This session will be delivered through a combination of presentations, group discussions, and success stories to engage participants and provide them with key steps that can begin implementing.
