About the class: Project Delivery focuses from the initial estimate to closeout. Discover why projects go wrong, examine the science of production, examine common reasons for cost overruns, control project budgets, and learn how to efficiently plan and maintain your projects.
Who Should Attend: This program is for those who supervise others and are responsible for delivering projects which includes foremen, project supervisors, and project managers.
The fee is $299 per person
1. Project Setup Through Closeout
We will cover typical checklist items used in setting up projects. Discover 7 steps to a successful project closeout, learn critical steps to completing a typical construction project with a useable checklist, including tips, and suggestions to maximize checklist use. Managing the change order process.
2. Production, Leadership and Project Delivery
Explore the successful project delivery. Learn the definition of productivity and how to benchmark productivity. Look at the relationships between leadership, project delivery, and productivity.
3. Delivering a Profitable Project
Examine examines the primary costs in a typical project and their origins in the estimate. Discuss drivers which have direct impact on the project’s cost.
4. Improving Project Delivery
Using scheduling, costs, and field management, learn how the supervisor’s management and leadership skills become key in productivity improvement. Discover the differences between bringing a project in under budget, at budget, and over budget through basic productivity analysis.
Note: This is course 6 of the 6-course Project Coordinator Program, but can be taken as a stand-alone course.

The Construction Classroom
Mike is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Business Management. He has over 30 years construction experience as Owner and Manager of construction businesses in Wisconsin. Mike has served on the ABC Wisconsin Board of Directors and was the driving force behind the creation of the ABC Heavy Equipment Operator Apprenticeship program, having taught the program for several years. Currently, Mike teaches several Construction leadership and management courses for ABC Wisconsin. In addition, he continues to travel throughout the United States and Canada teaching construction professionals and sharing a lifetime of “real experiences” in and personal enthusiasm for construction.
